How does Remitz find patient medical records?
Remitz connects to national healthcare networks to search for and retrieve available patient records from participating healthcare organizations. Record availability varies depending on where a patient has received care and what information those organizations make available.
What is AskREMI?
AskREMI is Remitz’s AI assistant for medical records. Physicians can ask questions about a patient’s available medical history and receive answers grounded in the underlying records, with citations back to the source information.
Does Remitz replace my EHR or EMR?
No. Remitz is designed to complement your existing systems by helping you access and understand patient information that may exist outside your own EHR or EMR.
How much does Remitz cost?
Remitz offers a free self-service tier, along with credit-based paid plans that scale with usage. Our goal is to keep access affordable so practices can choose a level that fits how often they use the platform. Enterprise plans and higher-volume needs are available by contacting our team.
How do I get access to patient record search?
After creating an account, physicians complete a brief identity and professional verification process using their Type 1 NPI, a government-issued ID, and facial verification. Network provisioning is typically completed within 7–10 days.
Is Remitz HIPAA compliant?
Remitz is designed for the secure handling of protected health information and supports HIPAA-compliant healthcare workflows. Users are required to execute a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) as part of signup.
Can I upload records or documents I already have?
Yes. You can upload external medical documents to Remitz and use AskREMI to interact with that information alongside other available patient records.
Can I search for records for any patient?
No. Patient record access must be connected to an authorized healthcare purpose and comply with applicable privacy requirements. Physicians may use Remitz to retrieve records when they have an appropriate treatment relationship with the patient.
